The Trail of the Coeur d’Alene

The Trail of the Coeur d’Alene is a 73-mile long paved recreational path along the Coeur d’Alene River Valley. An estimated 100,000 people use the trail annually for hiking, biking and wildlife watching. The Foundation funded a series of nine interpretive signs placed along the trail, helping users identify and understand the area’s wildlife. The project was done in partnership with the Idaho Department of Fish and Game and the Idaho Department of Parks and Recreation at the Cataldo Mission.
