Snowden Wildlife Sanctuary – Fence Panels for Bear Cub Enclosure
Snowdon Wildlife Sanctuary, located in McCall, Idaho, specializes in the rehabilitation of local wildlife inclusive of orphaned baby birds, mammals, and injured small mammals, songbirds, and raptors. This funding provided Snowdon Wildlife Sanctuary to install custom metal paneling around an existing 1-acre forested enclosure to provide additional rehabilitation services for orphaned and injured black bear cubs until they are ready to live independently in the wild. Improving a second black bear enclosure to allow for separation of different sized cubs, and to provide a facility for wildlife agencies in neighboring states when not occupied by Idaho bears, is critical for more effective rehabilitation and release.
