Restoration Nursery at Minidoka National Wildlife Refuge – U.S. Fish & Wildlife Service

To help implement a native plant nursery program for propagating native seeds and cuttings collected from our refuge to improve habitat, combat the spread of invasive species, foster partnerships with other land management agencies, and promote environmental stewardship through public engagement. Collecting seeds and growing them in-house will save costs, reduce chances of introducing invasive seeds in soil, produce better results due to more flexible project timing, and reduce mortality by introducing plants more genetically compatible with local vegetation communities.
