Funding for the SH-21 Wildlife Management Linkage Project was used to complete the construction of 1.5 miles of wildlife exclusion fencing along SH-21 to allow more mule deer and elk to use a wildlife crossing structure built at milepost 18.2 by the Idaho Transportation Department.  The exclusion fence is designed to funnel big game species to the wildlife crossing where they can cross safely under the highway.  Completion of the fencing allows the underpass to be used to its full potential and improve big game habitat connectivity.
