]]> Kaniksu Land Trust has partnered withe local elementary schools within Lake Pend Oreille School District to re-wild portions of school playgrounds using natural landscaping and native plants in order to create readily accessible spaces that promote and encourage experiential, outdoor, and natural-resources oriented learning opportunities. As part of this larger initiative, these funds will be used to incorporate a wildlife camera at each of the 8 Lake Pend Oreille School District elementary schools, as well supporting equipment such as iPads, projectors, bird feed, storage containers, and interpretive signs.
