Children’s Museum of Idaho – Fishing & Conservation Education – IDFG Headquarters

Idaho Dept. Fish and Game (IDFG) partnered with the Children’s Museum of Idaho to create an exhibit to educate visitors about fishing in Idaho and aquatic conservation education.  With over 100,000 visitors a year, this is a good opportunity to share mission-centric information in one of the fastest growing areas of the state.  IDFG has developed an existing relationship, and has donated a $5,000 water table to the museum.  With the popularity of the water table, the Children’s Museum approached the agency to see if we could expand on the concept.  This will create a larger, more sanitary, and permanent water feature where visitors could manipulate stream flow and learn about fisheries and conservation.  This will also meet the museum’s mission to provide learning experience through creative play, and also accomplishes a goal to highlight benefits of living in Idaho.
