The American Bear Foundation will use grant funding to purchase approximately 700 cans of bear spray and 200 cans of inert spray. Bear Spray Giveaway Events will be hosted throughout the grizzly bear habitat of southeast Idaho. Bear spray recipients will have the opportunity to deploy bear spray on Idaho Fish and Game’s Charging Bear simulator and learn more about bears by visiting the Bear Education Trailer.
