Managing funds for conservation
The Idaho Fish & Wildlife Foundation works with Idaho Fish and Game and other non-government organizations and state agencies to hold and manage funds for conservation projects throughout Idaho.
One of these projects is near Harris Ranch adjacent to the Boise River Wildlife Management Area (BRWMA). In order to limit wildlife and habitat impact in the area, the developer created the Maynard Gulch and Antelope Springs Mitigation Funds, which are held by the Idaho Fish & Wildlife Foundation. We manage funds collected from the sale and resale of homes in the area for the benefit of Idaho Department of Fish & Game. IDFG uses the funds to preserve important habitat for wildlife and the protection of rare and unique native plants.
