Wood Duck Island Habitat Restoration Project – IDFG

The Wood Duck Island Conservation Area in southeast Boise is 13 acres of important upland and riparian habitat which has become more dominated by invasive species such as Russian olive, multiflora rose, Himalayan blackberry, and noxious weeds. The Wood Duck HOA and IDFG co-manage this area and have developed a 5-year management plan that includes invasive species removal followed by native plant installation over a 3-year period.
